End of the tourist season has arrived…

We needed to get some grocery shopping done today and decided to make a stop for lunch in Kolymbari. Most restaurants were closed and doing their usual procedure for ending business for the year. Sadly enough, some of our favourites were closed already, so we gave a new place (which is open year-round) a try – more on that in a separate post.

It was a strange vibe across town, enhanced by rain…a sort of peacefulness paired with melancholy for me, but usual routine for the businesses here. On the other hand it was delightful to see the people we have met so far and having a connection with them.

Vasillis from Palio Arhontiko will go on vacation to Italy, Rome and the Venice…nice! Stelios from the little gift shop reminded us to call him so he can tell us when to come to his raki distillery for drinks and dinner.

The prospect of enjoying time with our new friends away from their usual business is heartwarming and exciting. In the meantime, there is the rain…
